I think I spent so much time trying to run away from this place that I forgot about a lot of things. I forgot what it was like to have a family. I forgot what it was like to be able to be in the middle of nowhere and find solace in space. I forgot what it was like to be able to see every star in the sky. I forgot what it was like to be able to be myself.

Today I left Crow

1. I like this photo Judd and I made today.

2. Chester Medicine Crow played his flute for me. Beautiful.

3. When I hit the Montana/Wyoming border there was a sign that said " Leaving Crow Country, Please visit us again". I was emotional to say the least.

After many days of trying to organize a meeting with Joe Medicine Crow it happened. Truly one of the most humbling and amazing moments in my life. I will never forget this trip or the people I've met. I have heard so many wonderful stories. One of my favorite things about Crow Agency, is that no matter where you are driving everyone waves at one another.

I really like it here. The drive from Wyoming to Montana was beautiful. Everyone has been so welcoming and I'm thankful that they are allowing me into their lives and their homes to work on this project. Today we went to Judd's grandfather's house, Pius Realbird.
